In 1973, Max Jacobs, born Motel Joskowicz, the youngest of the children of Isaac and Marya Jacobs, passed away at the age of 63. He had come to America in 1920 with his mother and brother, my grandfather, David. He and his wife, Sarah nee Izersky, had 2 children, Jack and Barbara. Jack died at the age of 21 of spinal meningitis. Barbara married and had 2 daughters, whose names I do not know. They lived in Atlantic City, where Max worked 60 hours per week as a “profector” (best guess I can make from the 1940 census).
